Polls open Friday, March 3, 8am-8pm
On the ballot:
Up for election are the following uncontested positions: Planning Board Member, 2 MSAD6 board members and 2 Trustees to the Davis Memorial Library.
There are two candidates for the position of Selectman: Debbie Black and Eugene Rusch. Please take a moment to hear their candidacy speeches.
There are two referendum items on the ballot: a moratorium ordinance on recreational Marijuana, which has now been rendered unneccessary by a recently imposed statewide measure, and a decision to enter once again into a sheriff's deputy contract for $106,191.00.
For the Saturday, March 4, 9 am meeting:
The usual warrant articles, This year we will be voting on a five million dollar budget. About two million to run the town, and three million for the SAD6 school district. Please take a moment to examine the articles and come prepared to vote.
Absentee ballots are now available for the March 3, 2017, Annual Town Meeting Election and Referendum. You may stop by the Town Office and vote in person or call 637-2171 and request a ballot be mailed to you. A sample copy of the ballot is attached:
Limington 225th Anniversary Celebration Committee
There will be a meeting Monday March 6, 2017 at 7:00P.M. at the Municipal Complex, to discuss plans for the 225th Party of the Town of Limington to be held the first weekend in July of 2017. All are welcome to attend and bring your ideas!
The Town of Limington is looking for someone to serve on the Planning Board, the Financial Advisory Committee, Old Town Hall Preservation Committee and Limington Youth League. Volunteers are also needed to form a committee for the celebration of Limington's quasquibicentennial this year (225 years). Please call us up and get involved!
Limington 225 Celebration Committee will meet, Monday, March 6, 2017, 7:00 PM at the Municipal Complex.
The Annual Town Meeting will be held at the Municipal Complex on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 9:00 AM. The Municipal Election is on Friday March 3, 2017, polls are open from 8:00AM to 8:00PM.
Need General Assistance?
The hours for the General Assistance Office are Tuesdays 3:00P.M.- 5:00P.M. An application may be picked up at the Town Clerks office during regular business hours. The application must be filled out and signed before meeting with the GA Administrator. Also be prepared to show proof of income (pay stubs, Social Security/disability, unemployment, etc.) for everyone in the household and receipts of how all income was spent (heating, electricity, rent, food, prescriptions, telephone, cable, internet, pet expenses, alcohol and tobacco expenses, etc.) If you prefer you may download and print the application located here.

Ambulance Insurance Available
Limington residents are advised to take advantage of the subscription agreement made available by the EMS. Although nobody wants to think about a trip to the hospital, an ambulance run can easily run up to $1,000. Even if you have insurance, it might only cover part of the cost. A small cash outlay right now can buy a lot of peace of mind.
