Upcoming Meetings

Select Board meets, Thursdays at 7:00pm.

The Town of Limington Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, May 20, 2019, at 7:00 pm at the Limington Municipal Complex.
The purpose of the meeting will be to hold a public hearing for a Conditional Use Permit requested by Central Maine Power to rebuild their substation at 527 Sokokis Ave., on Map R 14, Lot 32. Copies of the applications are available at the Town Office for public review.

Also, they will be doing the final review of the Snavely Cottage on Brave Lane. Review of minutes, and other.

Ambulance Insurance Available

Limington residents are advised to take advantage of the subscription agreement made available by the EMS. Although nobody wants to think about a trip to the hospital, an ambulance run can easily run up to $1,000. Even if you have insurance, it might only cover part of the cost. A small cash outlay right now can buy a lot of peace of mind.

Please come down to Town Hall and pick up a subscription form. You may also click on the image above or this link to download a printable copy. This years' coverage runs from April 1st (unless you sign up later than that date), through March 31st 2019, so it is advisable to secure coverage as soon as possible.

Transfer Station Disposal Fees

Affective September 1, 2018, there will be new disposal fees charged at the Transfer Station. See Attached pamphlet for more details. The 2019 Transfer Station Stickers are available at the Town Office, $20 fee.

Online Burn Permits

Free outdoor burn permits are again available online, after 5:00PM weekdays and 9:00AM Saturdays and Sundays, at https://www.wardensreport.com.

The Town of Limington is looking for someone to serve on Old Town Hall Preservation Committee and MOY MO DÄ YO Recreational Oversite Committee. Please inquire at the town office.

Need General Assistance?

General Assistance

The General Assistance Office will be open by apointment only. An application may be picked up at the Town Clerk's office during regular business hours. The application must be filled out and signed before meeting with the GA Administrator. Also be prepared to show proof of income (pay stubs, Social Security/disability, unemployment, etc.) for everyone in the household and receipts of how all income was spent (heating, electricity, rent, food, prescriptions, telephone, cable, internet, pet expenses, alcohol and tobacco expenses, etc.) If you prefer you may download and print the application located here.
