at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Televised Selectmen’s Meeting
starts at 7:00 p.m.
SELECTMEN: Charles
Huntress, Darryl Hubbard, and Bruce Rozett were in attendance.
Attendance:
Bonnie Lord, Nancy Maxwell, Ronald Phinney and Roxanne Herrick.
Selectman Huntress brought
the Selectmen’s Meeting to order at 7:04 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance to
the Flag.
Selectmen’s Minutes: Selectman Hubbard made a motion to approve the Selectmen’s Meeting
Minutes for December 22, 2011, second by Selectman Rozett and vote
unanimous.
Warrant #52: Selectman Rozett made a motion to approve Warrant #52:
Appropriations: $13,146.09
Payroll: $6,456.34, for a total of $19,602.43, second by
Selectman Hubbard and vote unanimous.
Roxanne Herrick gave an account of Warrant #52 expenditures;

PURCHASE ORDER REQUESTS:
Snow & Ice:
PO request to pay Herrick’s Welding $770.00 for repairs to plow truck 7
–batteries & lights, and plow truck 10, road call to temporarily secure
damaged wing to truck to move for repairs.
Selectman Hubbard made a motion to approve, second by Selectman Rozett
and vote unanimous.
NEW BUSINESS:
Magnesium Chloride: Selectman Hubbard was asked last week to check into the use of
magnesium chloride as a substitute to road salt. He reported magnesium chloride is used in
liquid form and the town is not set up for this procedure. Also, it is more expensive and has a tendency
to thaw and refreeze.
INFORMATIONAL BULLETIN:
General Assistance Office Hours: Monday and Tuesday – 3:30pm to 5pm. Due to the New Years holiday Monday, January
2nd, office hours will be Tuesday and Wednesday, 3:30pm to 5pm.
Transfer Station Winter Hours are Saturday
- 9am to 4pm. Due to the New Years
holiday the Transfer Station will be closed Saturday, Dec 31st.
Silver Bullets
are beside the Municipal Complex parking lot.
Town offices will be closed for the New Year
2012 Dog Registrations are due. The fee is:
$6.00 for neutered dogs, $11.00 for non-neutered dogs, and a late fee of $25.00
will be imposed after January 31st.
2012 Hunting and Fishing Licenses
are now available.
Nomination Papers for the following offices are available and must be returned to the
Clerks office by January 17, 2012:
Selectman/Assessor/Overseer of the Poor – 1
position (3 year term)
Planning Board Members – 2 positions (3 year
terms)
Two 2-year terms and one 3-year term)
Moy-Mo-Da-Yo
Recreational Area Oversight Committee Members – 5 positions (one
1-year term and four
2-year terms).
Limington Transfer Station stickers are available at the Town Office for $15.00.
2012 Limington Historical Society Calendars now available at the Town Office, $7.50 each.
Moy-Mo-Da-Yo Beach Passes, full-season 2012 passes are for sale at the
Municipal Complex $25.00 for residents, $30.00 for non-residents.
Meeting Open to Public: CEO, Ron
Phinney wished all a Happy New Year and thanks for the cooperation he received
from everyone over the year.
Bonnie Lord thanked Selectmen Hubbard for
looking into her question regarding magnesium chloride.
Selectman Rozett made a
motion to adjourn the Selectmen’s Meeting at 7:18pm., second by Selectman
Hubbard. Selectmen wished all a safe and
